Annual Student Award Competition of “For the Serbian People and the State” Foundation

The Foundation “For the Serbian People and State” is announcing a competition for the annual student award. The competition is open to students from the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia.

Topics:

European integration: Mini Schengen and regional cooperation
Challenges and perspectives of modern democracy

Deadline for submitting essays: 10.06.2021.

Prize:

1st place – 1500 euros
2nd place – 1000 euros
3rd place – 700 euros

The Foundation “For the Serbian People and State” invites you to send us an essay on one of the proposed topics by June 10. The essay should contain new creative ideas based on critical reflection on contemporary challenges. The essay must meet the following requirements:

  • not published before the application date
  • maximum length up to 3000 words
  • written in Serbian, Cyrillic script
  • especial consideration will be given to essays that are theoretically based

The best essays selected by the Jury and the ranking list will be published on June 25th on the Foundation’s website.

The jury consists of:

Dr. Žika Bujuklić – full professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade
Dr. Branko Rakić – full professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade
Dr. Milica Vesković Anđelković – assistant professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade
Ivan Mrkić – diplomat
Zoran Milivojević – diplomat

Conditions for participating in the competition:

– be a student of undergraduate or master’s academic studies at the Faculties in the field of social and human sciences
– not older than 26 years of age on the day of the competition announcement

Required documents to be submitted with the essay:

  • Form 1
  • Form 2
  • Certificate of citizenship
  • Photocopy of the student’s ID card/passport (extract from the reader)
  • Certificate of study

The essay together with the documentation should be sent by June 10th to the email office@fondacijasnd.rs
