The panel featured Dr Vanja Glišin, Research Associate and Director of the Center for Geopolitics at the Institute for Political Studies, and Prof. Dr Ljubiša Despotović, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Political Studies. The panel was held in the ceremonial hall of the Municipal Assembly of Kula and brought together experts in political science and geopolitics, as well as numerous interested participants. The event was also organized on the occasion of the promotion of the academic journal Progress, which focuses on the analysis of contemporary political, social, and geopolitical processes.
Prof. Dr Zoran Jevtović emphasized the importance of scientific and professional dialogue in a time of increasingly pronounced global changes, noting that today’s world is at a turning point and that it is essential to raise fundamental questions about the future of international relations and Serbia’s role within them.
“How can Serbia preserve peace and sovereignty in an increasingly turbulent and complex geopolitical environment, and can science offer answers that will guide our social and political course toward stability? Through the promotion of the journal Progress and dialogue with distinguished experts in geopolitics, Professors Ljubiša Despotović and Vanja Glišin, we aim to open space for reflecting on different perspectives of a world that now stands at a crossroads,” Jevtović stated.
The panel participants analyzed current global political processes, shifts in the international order, and the challenges faced by states in the context of increasingly dynamic geopolitical relations.
