Congratulations: Six students share awards for the best essay for 2025! year!
The Foundation “For the Serbian People and State” has selected six students as laureates in this year’s student essay competition for 2025. The topics “Serbia in the light of global geopolitical changes” and “EXPO: the future that has already begun,” set for the competition, inspired the students to our great satisfaction. This year, the highest number of essays has been received so far, and because of this, we decided to award prizes ranked from first to third place for both topics, meaning a total of six awards will be given to students this year.
Congratulations to the awarded students!
1st place – Sanja Gvozdenović (“Serbia in the light of global geopolitical changes”) and Andrej Filipović (“EXPO: the future that has already begun”)
2nd place – Ognjen Bojanić (“Serbia in the light of global geopolitical changes”) and Milica Šljivančanin (“EXPO: the future that has already begun”)
3rd place – Dragana Delić (“Serbia in the light of global geopolitical changes”) and Ivana Macak (“EXPO: the future that has already begun”)
The best essays were selected by a committee consisting of:
Siniša Mali, Minister of Finance; Nemanja Starović, Minister for European Integration and member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors; Miša Stojadinović, Director of the Institute for Political Studies; Ivan Mrkić, former Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dina Janevski Farčić, Marketing Director of EXPO 2027; and Srđan Perišić, Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of East Sarajevo.
The Annual Student Award is a prize that the Foundation has been awarding for the fourth year to encourage students to contribute to critical thinking on topics important to our society. The topics were designed to inspire students to reflect on the world and the increasingly challenging environment that has become a global reality. The topic “EXPO: the future that has already begun” was very inspiring to many students, who saw it as an opportunity to express their views on this significant project, which goes beyond the national level and Serbia’s capacities, and represents an important global event for 2027, for which the largest number of participating countries ever seen at EXPO are preparing.
More details about the competition along with the explanations of the awarded essays are available on the Foundation’s website.
We thank all participants of the competition once again!
