Thirty Years Since The Beginning Of The Disintegration Of The SFRY

On the eve of the thirtieth anniversary of the disintegration of the SFRY, ‘For the Serbian People and State’ Foundation on December 22, 2021. held a round table dedicated to it. A new issue of the magazine for political theory and practice “Napredak”, the third in a row this year, was also presented, which included the academic works of some of the speakers of this round table.

The security, historical, diplomatic and legal aspects of this event were discussed at the round table entitled “Thirty years since the beginning of the breakup of the SFRY” by: Ivan Mrkić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia 2012-2014. Vladislav Jovanović, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the FRY in 1992. and 1993-1995, prof. Dr. Radovan Radinović, Institute for Strategic Research, prof. Dr. Branko Krga, Faculty of Diplomacy and Security and prof. Dr. Milenko Kreća, retired full professor of the Faculty of Law. Konstantin Nikiforov, director of the Institute for the Study of Slavic Peoples of the Russian Academy of Sciences, also addressed the audience, and he gave his lecture in the form of a video presentation.

At the round table, the importance of the state was pointed out and a request was made to never allow what happened to Yugoslavia to happen to the state. The speaker’s concluding remarks were expressed with the attitude – Yugoslavia did not fall apart, it was broken”!
