Novi broj Casopisa Napredak na Medjunarodnom Sajmu Knjiga

Within the second day of the International Book Fair in Belgrade, at the stand of the Centre for Science Promotion, Foundation „For Serbian People and State” presented the latest issue of the scientific journal “Progress” (“Napredak”) dedicated to the topic of moder world’s geopolitics

This important issue was spoken about by Ljubiša Despotović, PhD, scientific advisor, Vanja Glišin, PhD, research associate, and Miša Stojadinović, scientific advisor of the Institute for Political Studies, as well as Professor Uroš Šuvaković, PhD, member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and member of the editorial board of this journal for the field of politics. The guests were also addressed by Professor Zoran Jevtović, PhD, editor-in-chief of the journal “Progress”.

In his speech, Ljubiša Despotović, PhD, emphasized the significance of the topic of geopolitics within Serbia’s scientific and academic community:

“Our obligation within Serbia’s scientific and academic community is to raise the question about the topic of geopolitics and offer some potential answers regarding the ongoing processes. These processes are, of course, open and have lasted up to date. We see a high degree of uncertainty, where those influence vectors change on a daily basis, so this will be just the first incentive to follow the situation carefully and, perhaps, in a year or two, publish a new thematic issue about geopolitics that would analyze the changes occurring in the meantime.”

The journal “Progress” has for six consecutive years gathered researchers, professors ana analysts who open important topics in their texts from the sphere of culture, geopolitics, society and cultural identity.

In the forthcoming period, Foundation “For Serbian People and State” will continue encouraging the dialogue between science and the public, as well as the development of critical thought through its publishing and scientific-popular projects.
