Within the second day of the International Book Fair in Belgrade, at the stand of the Centre for Science Promotion, Foundation \u201eFor Serbian People and State\u201d presented the latest issue of the scientific journal \u201cProgress\u201d (\u201cNapredak\u201d) dedicated to the topic of moder world\u2019s geopolitics<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This important issue was spoken about by Ljubi\u0161a Despotovi\u0107, PhD, scientific advisor, Vanja Gli\u0161in, PhD, research associate, and Mi\u0161a Stojadinovi\u0107, scientific advisor of the Institute for Political Studies, as well as Professor Uro\u0161 \u0160uvakovi\u0107, PhD, member of the Foundation\u2019s Board of Directors and member of the editorial board of this journal for the field of politics. The guests were also addressed by Professor Zoran Jevtovi\u0107, PhD, editor-in-chief of the journal \u201cProgress\u201d. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In his speech, Ljubi\u0161a Despotovi\u0107, PhD, emphasized the significance of the topic of geopolitics within Serbia\u2019s scientific and academic community:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201e\u201cOur obligation within Serbia\u2019s scientific and academic community is to raise the question about the topic of geopolitics and offer some potential answers regarding the ongoing processes. These processes are, of course, open and have lasted up to date. We see a high degree of uncertainty, where those influence vectors change on a daily basis, so this will be just the first incentive to follow the situation carefully and, perhaps, in a year or two, publish a new thematic issue about geopolitics that would analyze the changes occurring in the meantime.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The journal \u201cProgress\u201d has for six consecutive years gathered researchers, professors ana analysts who open important topics in their texts from the sphere of culture, geopolitics, society and cultural identity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the forthcoming period, Foundation \u201cFor Serbian People and State\u201d will continue encouraging the dialogue between science and the public, as well as the development of critical thought through its publishing and scientific-popular projects.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
