The Annual Student Awards ceremony for the best essays, an honour that the Foundation \u201cFor the Serbian People and State\u201d has been granting for the fourth year to young authors who stand out for their critical thinking on socially relevant topics, was held today in a festive atmosphere at the EXPO 2027 building.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s competition sparked great interest, with a record number of submissions on two topics: \u201cSerbia in the light of global geopolitical changes\u201d and \u201cEXPO: the future that has already begun.\u201d<\/p>\n
The expert committee, composed of prominent figures from Serbia\u2019s academic and political spheres, faced an exceptionally difficult task selecting the best from many high-quality essays.<\/p>\n
Awards were presented in both categories, with three ranked positions. First place was won by Sanja Gvozdenovi\u0107 and Andrej Filipovi\u0107, second place went to Ognjen Bojani\u0107 and Milica \u0160ljivan\u010danin, while third place was awarded to Dragana Deli\u0107 and Ivana Macak.<\/p>\n
The committee consisted of: Sini\u0161a Mali, Minister of Finance and committee chairman; Nemanja Starovi\u0107, Minister for European integration and member of the Foundation\u2019s Board of Directors; Mi\u0161a Stojadinovi\u0107, director of the Institute for Political Studies; Ivan Mrki\u0107, former minister of foreign affairs; Dina Janevski Far\u010di\u0107, marketing director of EXPO 2027; and Prof Sr\u0111an Peri\u0161i\u0107 from the University of East Sarajevo.<\/p>\n
Nemanja Starovi\u0107, a member of the Foundation\u2019s Board, addressed the guests and emphasised that the committee faced a very difficult task selecting the best essay, which is why it decided to award three prizes for each topic. He also highlighted the fact that among more than 60 submitted essays there was no detected overlap and they had a zero plagiarism rate.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Foundation has enabled students, at a time of challenges faced by higher education institutions in Serbia, to demonstrate that hard work and diligence are always recognised, respected, and rewarded,\u201d Starovi\u0107 stated.<\/p>\n
The ceremony concluded with a group photo, along with the announcement that the competition will be organised again next year, with the hope of continuing to encourage young people to think, write, and contribute to society.<\/p>\n
With this project, the Foundation \u201cFor the Serbian People and State\u201d continues its mission of supporting youth, promoting knowledge, and fostering patriotic and responsible reflection on Serbia\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
