Annual Student Award Competition of "For the Serbian People and the State" Foundation

“For the Serbian People and the State” Foundations is announcing a competition for the annual student award. The competition is announced for students from the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Northern Macedonia.

Topics:
1. European Integration: Mini Schengen and Regional Cooperation
2. Challenges and Perspectives of Modern Democracy

Deadline for essays: June 10, 2021

Reward:
1st place – EUR 1500
2nd place – EUR 1000
3rd place – EUR 700

“For the Serbian People and the State” Foundation invites you to send us your essay on one of the proposed topics by June 10. The essay should present new creative ideas based on critical reflection on contemporary challenges. The essay shall meet the following conditions:
• it has not been published until the day of application
• up to 3000 words
• written in Serbian, Cyrillic alphabet
• theoretically grounded essays shall be especially evaluated

The best essays selected by the Jury and the ranking list shall be published on June 25 on the Foundation’s website.

The Jury is made up of:
1. Dr. Žika Bujuklić – full professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade
2. Dr. Branko Rakić – full professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade
3. Dr. Milica Vesković Andjelković – Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade
4. Ivan Mrkić
5. Dr. Zoran Milivojevic – diplomat

Eligibility criteria for participation:
– to be a student of undergraduate or master academic studies at the Faculties in the field of social sciences and humanities
– to be younger than 26 years of age on the day of the competition announcement

Required documents to be submitted with the essay:
• Form 1
• Form 2
• Certificate of Citizenship
• Photocopy of the student’s ID card/passport (read excerpt)
• Study certificate
