“Days of Stanislav Binički” in the village of Jasika

In the birthplace of the eminent composer, conductor and social worker of the time, Stanislav Binički, in Jasika near Kruševac, the music event “Days of Stanislav Binički” is taking place.

Apart from the evening of artistic music, the programme also includes the painting colony dedicated to the most famous resident of this region. The colony is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

On this occasion, twenty artists, academic painters, will paint on the topic “Stanislav Binički in his native village”.

The colony began its work in the churchyard of Saint Procopius at 10 a.m. on 24th July 2024.

Together with the church in which Binički was baptized, artists are also inspired by the Morava River next to which he sharpened his musical talent, as well as the primary schoolyard named after him, where he was born and made his first steps.

The exhibition of twenty paintings – symbolizing twenty years of the colony – was opened in the churchyard on Binički’s birthday, 27th July.

After that, flowers were placed on the artist’s bust in the schoolyard and a music event was held – the concert of Serbian solo songs.

The Foundation “For the Serbian People and State” has recognized this important jubilee as preserving the memory in honour of this great artist.
